Even Oprah likes this!
You people are getting smarter all the time, thank goodness. For instance, we now know that people in the US throw away about 32 billion tons of food each year. Our landfills are overflowing!
I am proud to say that of all the products out there to help with composting food waste right at the source, Oprah picked this one. Families of all sizes just have to put their leftover scraps in the bucket, sprinkle with bokashi (more of me!) and return it to the earth. It’s the ultimate in recycling. And more important than ever when you consider the fact that our exploding landfills are the largest contributor of methane (pollution) to our environment. Are you convinced?
Now is the time to start your own household food recycling efforts. The composter fits nicely under your kitchen sink. And thanks to me and my bazillion teeny weeny wonders in the bokashi, there will be NO ODOR as the food starts to ferment. Really, we are part magicians. When the bucket is full, dump us in the ground and wait a few weeks. Nutrient-rich compost is the result.
How could Oprah be wrong about anything?
The perfect starter kit for composting food waste right in your home. The kit contains one five- gallon container and one bag of Bokashi. The All Seasons Indoor Composter Kit is a unique, in-house system used to recycle kitchen scraps into an organic compost soil conditioner. This system ferments and pickles your food waste in less than half the time of conventional composting methods without odors.
The All Seasons Indoor Kitchen Composter was featured in 100 Things That Are Getting Better by Oprah.com.
To compost kitchen waste:
Lay down initial layer of All Seasons Bokashi.
Place fresh food scraps in the All Seasons Indoor Composter and thoroughly coat every layer with Bokashi compost starter. Close the lid tightly after every use to ensure an anaerobic environment.
Once the container is filled to capacity, let the pieces continue to ferment for two weeks and then transfer into your garden or planter. Allow at least two more weeks for the fermentation process to continue in the soil before planting your favorite veggies, flowers, trees, etc.
Make sure to drain the liquid released during the anaerobic process from the All Seasons Indoor Composter frequently to prevent putrefaction of your compost.
Storage: The All Seasons Indoor Composter - place under the kitchen sink or other convenient location; perfect for any size household. All Seasons Bokashi - keep closed in the original, air-tight bag.
The All Seasons Indoor Composter Kit can be easily implemented in an indoor environment making it useful for apartment, school, household, restaurant, business or wilderness use.
